Diane Abela is Gurr Johns Director for the Middle East.


She joined the company in 2012, and works with both private and institutional clients advising on acquisitions and sales, valuations and collection management. She also advises museums on strategy and development.


Diane specialises in Contemporary International and Middle Eastern Modern and Contemporary Art and has worked on various exhibitions in the region.

 

In 2016 she co-curated the group show at Baalbek, Lebanon, The Silent Echo, including international contemporary artists such as Ai Wei Wei and Susan Hiller.


She devised and implemented the Arts Management course currently in its 6th year in partnership with the Ecole Superieure des Affaires in Beirut.


Diane is an ambassador of the World Land Trust and a board member of BEMA museum.
