Hayfa is a former diplomat and policy adviser. She served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, and as Deputy Head of the Bahrain Embassy in London. Her other roles include Adviser to the Foreign Minister and Counsellor to the President of the United Nations General Assembly. She has experience working with senior executives in business consultancy and began her career as an investment banker at JP Morgan New York.

Hayfa has deep political and commercial knowledge of the Middle East, especially the Gulf, and is skilled in policy development, crisis management and international negotiation. With a strong network at the highest levels across the region, she has led high-impact international partnerships with government bodies, businesses and civil society, and is experienced in helping organisations to grow, enter new markets and achieve their goals
